Supernovas Fall Short, 5-4, at Bakersfield
|
Despite a great performance by Scranton center fielder Rodrigo Lugo, the Bakersfield Nobles defeated the Supernovas by the score of 5-4 at Jerome Grounds. Lugo was 3-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI. The win brings the Nobles to 12-6, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Juan Alvarado chipped in for Bakersfield, stroking a crucial 2-run single in the bottom of the third inning. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3. He drove in 2 runs.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Bakersfield manager Elliott Taylor.
