Rocks Get Win, Extend Streak to 5
|
Plymouth played host to Bloomington at the friendly confines of Plymouth Quarry.
Plymouth beat Bloomington on the strength of starter Rafael Méndez's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 7-3 win. The Rocks, now 12-4, have been on a roll in the early going.
One of the key players for the Rocks was left fielder José Castillo, who drilled a 2-run single in the bottom of the second inning. For the game, Castillo was 1-4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Méndez. "The only team that can beat us is us."
