Syracuse and Belleville got after it at Storm Park.

Syracuse starter Craig Fitzgerald put a stranglehold on the Belleville offense. The left-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Storm to a 4-0 win. The Bulls fall to 4-8 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2033 season.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fifth inning, but Fitzgerald was able to pitch out of a jam. With the bases loaded and Belleville trailing 1-0, Fitzgerald retired Silvian Burger, who grounded out.
