Highwood pitcher Nicolaas de Jongh did his part in helping his team beat the York Revolution, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. de Jongh, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 8 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 3 earned runs. Kenny Hannah finished to wrap up his 2nd save.
Jimmy Scott was 1-1 with a walk, while adding 3 RBI for Highwood. The 23-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Knud Herrewijn. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
Scott told a Highwood Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
