Rapiers Top Polar Bears to Even Record
|
Durham starter Karl Dandleton had a strong outing against the Billings Polar Bears at The Igloo. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-1 win. The winning pitcher was Dandleton, now 3-1. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 4. Durham is now 16-16, Billings 20-12.
Keiran Calleson didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to put Durham on top, 1-0.
"We played hard and won," said Dandleton. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
