The San Antonio BC topped the Ottawa Nationals, 2-1, in M3L Double A action at Nationals Park. The player of the game was San Antonio pitcher and Lod, Israel native Shadi Zafar. The winning pitcher was Zafar, now 1-1. He tossed 8 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 8. The Nationals, now 4-13, continue their poor start.
José Salinas, who is tied for 6th in the 3AA in doubles with 6, helped out the San Antonio cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the designated hitter drove in one run.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Zafar.
