Thunder Hawks Edge Past Deuces, 7-6
Despite a fine performance by catcher Ray Covalt, the Virginia Beach Deuces suffered a 7-6 loss to the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. Covalt was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. Ft. Polk South reliever Kyle Overhill picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Urs Ehles absorbed the loss. Ft. Polk South improves to 4-3 as they look to defend their championship.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Ft. Polk South catcher Luke Thornton, facing Urs Ehles, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Thunder Hawks the 7-6 win.

"We take it day by day here," said Thornton, "and today was a good one for us."
