Buzz Continue Skid Thanks to Miles, Men
|
The Florida Men downed the Salt Lake City Buzz, 6-2, at Spirits Stadium. The Men were led by Alfred Miles, who captured player of the game honors. He slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Florida reliever Atila Freska picked up the win, upping his record to 5-5. Barney Starr absorbed the loss. Salt Lake City has now lost 4 consecutive games.
Miles had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the top of the fourth, when he hit a solo home run. The Men went on to win.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Miles.
