Great Lakers Win at Pawnee, 1-0

The Pure Michigan Great Lakers and Pawnee ParksNRec put on a pitchers' duel at Whips Ballpark.
The Pawnee ParksNRec got a superb performance from pitcher Luis Castrejón. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Pure Michigan. The Great Lakers won the game, 1-0. In spite of the loss, Castrejón was named the player of the game. He threw 9 innings of 4-hit ball. Ricardo Rodríguez was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed no runs on 3 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.
It could have been a different outcome for Pure Michigan, had it not been for Allen Pandey, the 23-year old shortstop . Pandey contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Pure Michigan up, 1-0.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Pandey.
The win puts the Great Lakers at 34-38, while the ParksNRec drop to 29-43.
