Goto Rips Salt Lake City for 5 Hits
|
Tasuku Goto put on a hitting clinic today as the Athletic Club KC Reserves dumped the Salt Lake City Buzz 5-4 at KC Reserve Stadium.
The Athletic Club KC third baseman made Salt Lake City defenders earn their pay, lashing Salt Lake City pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Goto said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Tasuku Goto doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
This year Goto has collected a .256 batting average to date with 66 hits in 258 at-bats, 22 RBIs, 5 home runs and scored 33 times. He has played in 64 games.
