Flyers Cut Down Buzz, 7-5
|
The Pennsauken Flyers topped the Salt Lake City Buzz, 7-5, in USSL Triple A action at Pennsauken Park. The player of the game was Pennsauken pitcher Jeren Kendall. Kendall got the win, improving to 1-3. He allowed 5 hits and walked 6 over 6.2 innings. Kendall allowed no earned runs. Manny Hernández was credited with the save for Pennsauken, his 11th of the season.
In the bottom of the first, Wilfred McLaughlin hit a run-scoring single for Pennsauken. The 19th hit of the season for the Pennsauken first baseman put the Flyers on top, 1-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Kendall told the Pennsauken Bulletin.
Pennsauken is now 23-33, Salt Lake City 36-20.
