Flyers Defeat Lake Monsters, 8-3
|
José Marín left his imprint on the 8-3 Pennsauken win against the Vermont Lake Monsters. Marín, who is tied for 2nd in the SAAA in RBI with 29, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Seong-rae Park got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 5.1 innings. Arnie Banks nailed down his 1st save.
Pennsauken grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Marín, who is tied for 2nd in the SAAA in RBI with 29, hit a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Flyers out in front, 4-2.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Marín.
Pennsauken is now 15-22, while Vermont is 19-18.
