The Royse City Targaryens picked up a win at Royse City Stadium, knocking off the Tremont Doubledays, 5-2. Starting pitcher Shang-de Fu, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Fu, the winner, moves to 3-4. He threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up no walks. Adam Garrison finished to wrap up his 2nd save.

The Targaryens got a big at-bat from catcher Miguel Herrera. For the game, Herrera went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Royse City a 3-2 lead.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Fu said.

The Targaryens saw their win-loss record go to 17-20. At the same time, the Doubledays fell to 24-13.
