Multi-HR Day for Moran as ParksNRec Overpower Flyers, 10-5
|
The Pawnee ParksNRec stopped the Pennsauken Flyers, 10-5, behind an impressive performance from Daryl Moran. The 30-year old right fielder made life miserable for Pennsauken pitching. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Pawnee reliever Ángel Ruíz picked up the win to move to 1-1. Martin Ortíz suffered the loss. Pawnee, at 13-14, occupies 6th place in the Silver AAA.
Pawnee grabbed control in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Chad Silander delivered a 2-run double, to make it 7-5 in favor of the ParksNRec.
"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Iván González said.
