Late Rally by Targaryens Secures Win
|
Royse City beat Pawnee at Royse City Stadium, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Currito Melena, who earned player of the game honors. Adam Garrison picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-1. Mark Sanders was tagged with the loss. Royse City goes to 9-14, Pawnee to 11-12.
Royse City grabbed control in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Craig Greene delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 3-2 in favor of the Targaryens.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Melena.
