Lake Monsters Come Back Late to Top Targaryens
José Vázquez left his imprint on the 6-4 Vermont win against the Royse City Targaryens. Vázquez, who is tied for 5th in the SAAA in stolen bases with 4, went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Getting the save was Mannus Dijkman, his 2nd. With the win, Vermont goes to 8-6.

Had Tullu Amaad not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Amaad hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Lake Monsters.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Vázquez, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
