Bloomington left fielder César Gómes was instrumental in his team's 6-3 win over the Jersey City Tritons. Gómes, who is rated as the 83rd best prospect by BNN, went 3-4 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Longnecks. Bloomington, now 3-0, is setting the league on fire so far.

Carlos Cardona drove in one run for Bloomington. The 28-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Francisco Sandoval. It was his 4th RBI of the season.

"The more wins we pile up," said Gómes, "the more I like our chances."
