Ghosts Beat Seawolves, 3-1
|
The Graveyard was the site of a tense game between the Long Island Seawolves and Casper Ghosts.
In a low-scoring game between the Casper Ghosts and the Long Island Seawolves, pitcher Tim Sharp was masterful on the mound. The Casper right-hander was named the player of the game in Casper's 3-1 win. Sharp went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 8-8.
In the bottom of the first, Bob Phillips hit a 2-run home run for Casper. The 11th home run of the season for the Casper right fielder put the Ghosts on top, 2-0.
"We'll savor this win," Phillips told the Casper Daily News, "then get ready for the next game."
Casper now owns a record of 44-52.
