Ghosts Lose, 6-1, at Ballpark of Remsen
|
Pitcher David Watkins was sensational for the Long Island Seawolves in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Casper Ghosts. Watkins received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. In 7.1 innings, Watkins surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. John Kraan, credited with the save, is now 2 for 3 in save opportunities.
Dan Chrzan, who is tied for 5th in the SAA in runs scored with 50, aided the Long Island cause with a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman went 1-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"I felt good up there," said Chrzan. "I saw the ball well."
The Seawolves have an impressive 53-22 record.
