Athletic Club KC Academy and Richland duked it out at Rails Ballpark and the Athletic Club KC Academy came out victorious.
The Athletic Club KC Academy got a magnificent performance from pitcher Cristián Rojas, who stifled the Richland offense en route to a 1-0 Athletic Club KC Academy win at Rails Ballpark. Rojas, the winner, moves to 1-2. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up no walks.
The Athletic Club KC Academy got a big at-bat from designated hitter Luis Miguel González. For the game, González was 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Athletic Club KC Academy a 1-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Rojas said after the game.
