Amaya Slugs Seawolves to 10-1 Win
|
The Long Island Seawolves thumped the Lancaster Farmers, 10-1, at Farmers Field. Héctor Amaya was a big reason his team got the win. Amaya went 3-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. David Watkins, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 6 innings. The winning continues for Long Island, with the latest making it 7 straight.
Heherson Inaris drove in one run for Long Island. The 22-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Fernando Romero. It was his 10th RBI of the season.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Amaya. "I just want to win ballgames."
