The inspired effort of Tacoma first baseman Keizo Morishita was not enough to prevent a 6-4 loss to the Asheville Highlanders. Morishita was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Earning his 11th save of the year was Travis Watson. Asheville is now 27-20, Tacoma 26-21.
Asheville took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Arturo Scantlebury hit a 2-run single to make it 6-4, Highlanders.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Scantlebury. "And not try to do too much."
