Rails Come Up Short at Casper
|
The Casper Ghosts did just enough to sneak past the Richland Rails, 4-3, at The Graveyard. Casper pitcher Oscar Kenselaar earned player of the game honors. Kenselaar went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 4-2. Wong Fei-Hung recorded the save for Casper, his 3rd of the season.
Paco Ríos drew 2 walks for Casper. The speedster had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Aliaume Thiame. It was his 7th RBI of the season.
"Feels good to get the job done," Ríos said after the game.
Casper is now 17-24, while Richland is 21-20.
