5 Straight Wins for Fur Traders
|
The Tacoma Fur Traders topped the Asheville Highlanders, 3-0, in USSL Double A action at Ballpark of Tacoma. The player of the game was Tacoma pitcher and Mechanicsville, Virginia native Daniel Ryan. Tacoma has now won 5 straight.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when catcher Michael Palledorous, who is tied for 10th in the SAA in bases on balls with 16, hit a single. The Fur Traders went on to win.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Tacoma manager David Márquez.
