Riding the 4-hit performance of the 26-year old shortstop Bill Perkins, the Tacoma Fur Traders stopped the Casper Ghosts, 11-1. Álex Hernández earned the win for Tacoma. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 3 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 2-2. Tacoma is now 10-11, while Casper is 9-12.
Michael Palledorous contributed to the Tacoma win with a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Perkins told the Tacoma Daily News.
