Seawolves Come Back Late, Nip Lionhearts
Albert Covington added some punch to the Long Island offense, helping them outmuscle the Lannister United Lionhearts, 8-7. In the game, Covington went 3 for 5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Long Island reliever Christian Irgoyen picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Érik Moreau was saddled with the loss. Ron Crumpacker got the save, the 1st for him this season.

Covington had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch fastball from Érik Moreau, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the Seawolves a 8-7 lead. It was the 1st double of the year for Covington.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Covington told the Long Island Observer. "It's as simple as that."

With the win, Long Island boosts its record to 6-0.
