The Graveyard was the site of a tense game between the Casper Ghosts and Asheville Highlanders.
Asheville Highlanders starter Jacob Broome was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Casper Ghosts, 3-1. In 6.1 innings, Broome surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 5. He allowed 1 run. Travis Watson locked down his 4th save.
Werner Bowman did his part for the Highlanders, producing a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Asheville skipper Josh Jackson.
The win gives the Highlanders a record of 4-2.
