Polar Bears Take Down Deuces, 5-2
|
The Billings Polar Bears defeated the Virginia Beach Deuces, 5-2, in M3L Double A action at The Igloo, with Billings pitcher Roberto Roque named player of the game. Billings reliever Fernando Ramírez was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Pedro López took the loss. The Polar Bears, now 4-0, have stormed out of the gates.
Billings grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, José Herrera delivered a 2-run double, to make it 4-2 in favor of the Polar Bears.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Billings manager Todd England. "It's usually not just one thing."
