Port Royal Beats Gryfindor, 9-4

The Gryfindor Braves and Port Royal Disaster brought some excitement to Cayuse Ballpark.
Gryfindor got a terrific game from first baseman Fernando Sánchez. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Port Royal, 9-4. Sánchez was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Paco Salazar picked up the save for Port Royal, his 27th of the year.
Vicente Gonzáles's at-bat in the top of the eighth inning was a big one for Port Royal. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Port Royal leading 5-4, the designated hitter reached on an error by the center fielder, driving in 1 run.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Gonzáles.
With the win, Port Royal has a record of 58-38. Gryfindor falls to 42-54.
