Halberds Get Road Win, 5-3
|
Fans who gathered at Coyote Wildlife Refuge saw a good contest between the Alloway Halberds and Hamilton Coyotes.
Alloway right-hander Peter Glenn pitched his team to victory over the Hamilton Coyotes at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. The final score was 5-3. Glenn, now 1-2, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing 1 earned run.
Alloway grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Ricardo Ríos delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Halberds.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Glenn said after the game.
The Halberds saw their record improve to 32-62.
