Walk-Off Victory for Timber Hawks Takes Record to 55-38
|
The Augusta Timber Hawks got a stellar effort from pitcher Nicolas Roche, helping Augusta score a 4-0 win over the visiting Hialeah Dodos. José Ledezma picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Lindsay Novak was tagged with the loss. Augusta, at 55-38, sits in third place in the Menard's AAA.
Armond Merlin was the walk-off hero for Augusta. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Timber Hawks third baseman hit a dramatic grand slam home run to send the teams home.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Roche told the Augusta Bulletin.
