Wang Rips Hamilton for 5 Hits
|
Wu-shiun Wang put on a hitting clinic today as the Brinkley Belugas dumped the Hamilton Coyotes 6-3 at Belugas Ballpark.
The Brinkley shortstop made Hamilton defenders earn their pay, lashing Hamilton pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Wang said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Wu-shiun Wang singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
Wang is hitting .390 so far this season with 14 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 46 hits including 2 home runs, 2 walks and .400 OBP.
