Zarate Hits 2 home runs in Halberds Win
José Zarate added some punch to the Alloway offense, helping them outmuscle the Hialeah Dodos, 10-7. In the game, Zarate, who was drafted in the two round of the 2027 draft, went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Alloway starter Don Blessing was credited with the win after throwing 112 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Alloway now owns a record of 28-51.

Zarate had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch slider from Yoshi Minamoto, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Halberds a 5-3 lead. It was the 13th home run of the year for Zarate.

Halberds manager Yoshifumi Kamuta wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
