Fans who gathered at Coyote Wildlife Refuge saw a good contest between the Brinkley Belugas and Hamilton Coyotes.
Benefiting from Wu-shiun Wang's productive game, the Brinkley Belugas downed the Hamilton Coyotes, 5-3. Wang was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Belugas. The winner was Grover Lowdermilk, who threw 102 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 7 hits. Miguel Toro earned the save for Brinkley, his 20th of the year.
A defensive miscue in the top of the ninth cost the Coyotes. With Brinkley leading 4-3, Ronald Comejo reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. Brinkley ended up winning the ballgame.
Wang attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
Brinkley has an impressive 47-24 record.
