Halberds Turn Back Hamilton, 4-3

Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Manny Gonzáles, the Alloway Halberds defeated the Hamilton Coyotes, 4-3. Gonzáles went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Halberds. Alloway reliever Juan Ángel picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Norberto Flores was saddled with the loss. The Halberds now have a mark of 23-39.
Jordan Hollins went 1-3 with a hit by pitch for Alloway. The 31-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Norberto Flores. It was his 25th RBI of the season.
"We put together a nice win," Hollins said.
