Walt Lathon put on a hitting clinic today as the Hamilton Coyotes dumped the Alloway Halberds 13-3 at Ballpark of Alloway.

The Hamilton center fielder made Alloway defenders earn their pay, lashing Alloway pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Lathon said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Walt Lathon doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Nicholas Beyer in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
