Gryfindor pitcher Dusty Fox did his part in helping his team beat the Port Royal Disaster, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Gryfindor reliever Rodrigo Torres was the winner. His record is now 1-2. The losing pitcher was Omar Casteneda. Hao Wei got the save, the 1st for him this season.
Austin Hathaway had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh for the Braves. Coming up with runners on 1st and 3rd and Gryfindor trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run double.
"I know we have our doubters," said Port Royal manager . "But I still have high hopes for this team."
After today's action, Gryfindor sits at 18-26, while Port Royal falls to 24-20.
