Pacheco Rips Sioux Falls for 5 Hits
|
Ricardo Pacheco put on a hitting clinic today as the Tortolita Drummers dumped the Sioux Falls Red Pandas 7-5 at Drummers Ballpark.
The Tortolita first baseman made Sioux Falls defenders earn their pay, lashing Sioux Falls pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Pacheco said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Ricardo Pacheco singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
Pacheco is hitting .373 this year with 7 home runs and 28 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .442, 19 walks and scored 31 times.
