Disaster Saddle Humpbacks with 6-3 Loss
|
The Port Royal Disaster got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Chet Saks, but it was good enough for the club to take a 6-3 decision over the Alaskan Humpbacks. Saks picked up the win for Port Royal, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. Paco Salazar got credit for the save for Port Royal. It was his 7th of the year.
The Disaster got a big at-bat from center fielder Datu Lesaca. For the game, Lesaca was 1-4. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 28th hit of the season gave Port Royal a 3-2 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Lesaca said after the game.
Port Royal occupies 4th place in the Menard's AAA at 19-14.
