|
Port Royal Disaster starter Luis Vargas was in fine form against the Tortolita Drummers at Drummers Ballpark, leading his team to a 6-3 win. Paco Salazar finished the game for Port Royal and earned his 6th save. Port Royal now sits at 15-12, while Tortolita falls to 12-15.
John Burton, who is rated as the 3rd best prospect by BNN, aided the Port Royal cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.
"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Vargas. "Successful pitchers do it."
