England Helps Sunset District Cruise to 10-2 Win
|
The Sunset District Fog topped the Hamilton Coyotes by the score of 10-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Arnold England. England was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Fog on the day. Jeff Mahl picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 2 earned runs on 4 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 3-1. The Fog now have a record of 10-16 with the win over Hamilton.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth when England, who is tied for 9th in the 3AAA in extra base hits with 10, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Fog into the lead, 3-1.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said England.
