The Tortolita Drummers picked up a win at Ballpark of Alloway, knocking off the Alloway Halberds, 6-5. Starting pitcher Johnnie Bough played a key role in the triumph. The defending champion Drummers are off to a horrible start to the season, notching only their 6th win in 18 games.

Bough, a native of Rowlett, Texas, was dealing all game. He kept Alloway hitters off-balance, while giving the Drummers 7.1 quality innings. Bough threw 102 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 4.

"We found a way to get it done," Bough said.
