BC Continue Skid Thanks to Lathon, Coyotes
|
Walt Lathon helped his team muscle past the Houston BC, 12-4. In the game, the Hamilton left fielder went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Hamilton reliever Francisco Jiménez got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Júlio Rodríguez was tagged with the loss. The BC fall to 6-12 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Bayaguana, Dominican Republic-born José Gómez came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded and the Coyotes trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run single to right-center to put Hamilton on top.
"I believe in our guys," said Hamilton skipper David Pacheco. "I like the energy they're playing with."
