Coyotes Come Back Late to Top BC

The inspired effort of Houston first baseman Abraham Phelps was not enough to prevent a 7-6 loss to the Hamilton Coyotes. Phelps was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Hamilton reliever Neal Davis was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Corbin Holling took the loss. The win takes Hamilton to 10-7.
The Coyotes were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when shortstop Elia Amberezzio turned a 1-0 fastball from Corbin Holling into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Hamilton a thrilling 7-6 win.
"We take it day by day here," said Amberezzio, "and today was a good one for us."
