Halberds Knock Off Drummers at Ballpark of Alloway
|
With second baseman Carlos Ramírez leading the charge, the Alloway Halberds defeated the Tortolita Drummers, 8-4, at Ballpark of Alloway. Ramírez went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The loss drops Tortolita to 4-12.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Carlos De Jesús was at the plate when Alloway scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Halberds to go in front, 5-4.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Alloway skipper Yoshifumi Kamuta.
