The Alloway Halberds beat the Houston BC, 4-3, at Ballpark of Alloway. The win was largely due to the efforts of center fielder Juan Salinas, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Alloway reliever Joe Martarano picked up the win to move to 1-0. Enrique Arrabal suffered the loss. Alloway has a record of 7-7.

Late in the game, third baseman Jordan Hollins had a big at-bat for Alloway. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single off Enrique Arrabal. The play gave the Halberds a 4-3 lead.
