Disaster Prevail, 4-2, Over Sioux Falls

Fans who gathered at The Bamboo Forest saw a good contest between the Port Royal Disaster and Sioux Falls Red Pandas.
The Disaster faced a stiff challenge from Sioux Falls pitcher Carlos Díaz, but persevered to claim a win at The Bamboo Forest. The final score was 4-2. Díaz went 8.1 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Port Royal reliever Omar Casteneda got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Carlos Díaz was tagged with the loss.
Ricky Payton, who is rated as the 65th best prospect by BNN, aided the Port Royal cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3 with a double and a walk.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Payton.
Port Royal is off to a hot start at 7-3.
