Braves Hope Win Turns Around Slow Start
|
Gryfindor Braves starter Terence Roberts turned in an exceptional performance against the Tortolita Drummers at Cayuse Ballpark, resulting in a Gryfindor win, 5-2. Rodrigo Torres, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The Braves, with just their 2nd win in 8 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
Emílio Gonzáles went 2-2 with 2 singles and a walk for Gryfindor. In the bottom of the eighth, with the teams deadlocked, 2-2, Gonzáles delivered for the Braves. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Gryfindor on top, 3-2.
"I thought we played a nice game," Roberts told the Gryfindor Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
