The Sioux Falls Red Pandas eked out a 7-6 win versus the Alloway Halberds at Ballpark of Alloway. Nobody did more than catcher Martinus Xhaka, who captured player of the game honors. Kenny Koehler got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Halberds to 3 earned runs on 5 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1. With the win, Sioux Falls is 2-2.

Early in the game, Xhaka had a run-scoring double for Sioux Falls. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Red Pandas on top, 1-0.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Alloway manager Yoshifumi Kamuta. "But we decided not to take it."
