Escobeda and Omar Brawl, League Suspends Them Monday, August 30th, 2032 After an intense confrontation, both the Fire António Escobeda and the Revolvers Abdul-Salam Omar were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Franklin-Santa Fe game. Both players will miss 12 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," António Escobeda commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Escobeda is hitting .347 this year with 7 home runs and 48 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .432, 30 walks and scored 47 times. To this point in the season, Omar shows a 1-2 record, 0 starts, 42.1 innings, 46 strikeouts and a 2.98 ERA. |
